Where in the world Pt2…

It was great spending time with my Twin, with me going off to the snow soon and her working all the time it was great to be able to go out for tea, walk around the city and just relax for a while. This is my delicious cup of strawberry tea from little cupcakes in Degraves street. I know food and drink pictures are horrendous but I couldn’t help but post it because it was so pretty and elegant cup of tea.

Another cool place to go while in the city Little Creatures Dining Hall in Fitzroy, the atmosphere is amazing, cool and laid back. With yummy fresh food cull of colour and taste, they even cater for Gluten Free Vegans! I highly recommend the Red Lentil Dahl, but Britt has not stopped raving about the mushroom soup and has spent most days since trying to reproduce the same thing.

My dad is one of those guys that likes his Jet-ski and doing manly things, so it was weird when he was alright with going to the art gallery. He was very interested in how the hell the paintings from 1675 were still around and the fact that they looked bran new. There were a few things that caught my eye while we were there, this beautiful deer. It is unfortunate that this deer was once a real live animal, frolicking throughout the forest but now it is a beautiful art piece for all to see. covered in thousands of glass orbs of different sizes, you can see aspects of the beautiful creature through the glass and it is magical.

I havent been to the Melbourne Museum since I was in primary school and on our last day in the city we decided to do the whole tourist thing and go, cameras in hand. IMG_1803 IMG_1804 IMG_1806 IMG_1807 IMG_1808 IMG_1809 IMG_1810 IMG_1811 IMG_1812 IMG_1813 IMG_1814 IMG_1815

There has always been one place in Melbourne I have always wanted to go, for a nice cup of tea or even a beautiful slice of cake. The Houptoun Tea Rooms in the Block Arcade, unfortunately in order to get a seat inside you have to book in advance or wait in a very long line for a while. Their tantalising cakes and treats in the main window are just mouthwatering. Next time I will defiantly book in.
