V for Vivetta…

I first came across VIVETTA when I started following wishwishwish two years ago, and instantly fell in love with the qwerky designs and interesting colour schemes. At the moment I have a few items from their online store on hold and cant wait to get them…So here is some of my favourite and most intersting things they have come up with in the past two years.

VIVETTA is a small Italian fashion label that offers a perfect combination of designs with a girlish rock ‘n’ roll feel that never compromises quality.

VIVETTA was founded in 2008 by designer Vivi Ponti, the first collection was launched after the Fresh Lounge “Who’s Next” competition in which Vivi came about as the competitions overall winner. Since then it has rapidly emerged as one of the most sought after labels today. VIVETTA is proud that designs are 100% Italian in fabric and production. Vivi is also pleased to say that VIVETTAdesigns are stocked in more than 20 recognised boutiques worldwide.

With a nod to the past but standing firm in the present VIVETTA ‘s signature style is characterized by unconventional details of fresh looks with a vintage feel. These details are the result of superb creativity attained by fun and liveliness which in turn brings about a polite mademoiselle look. Combining beautiful designs with the unexpected is what VIVETTA is all about.

Vivi Ponti is the sole designer and founder of VIVETTA. After graduating from Liceo Linguistico Le Mantellate in Florence she joined Roberto Cavalli as assistant designer for three years. After Cavalli she became head designer at Daniele Alessandrini for two years. Working as head designer for Alessandrini spurred Vivi on to start her own label. She then went on and continued her study in Pattern at CF Paullo in Milan before entering The Fresh Lounge competition “Who’s next” 2008 in Paris. Vivi came out the victor which led to her launching the first VIVETTA collection.

Currently Vivi lives and works happily in Milan with her beloved Siamese cats, Oliver, Oscar and Roseberry.

We have great support from ELLE Italia fashion editor Eva Fontanelli whom Scott Schuman ‘The Sartorialist’ captures looking her best wearing VIVETTA.

British socialite and model Peaches Geldof is very fond of our designs, so much so that she became the face for the Autumn/Winter 2010 collection
