92 Days of Autumn…

Autumn in Melbourne can be sunny and warm one second and then freezing and pelting down with rain the next, so to survive Autumn in this loverly city here is a list of some fun and cheeky things that I have on my shopping list…

1. ASOS Umbrella Skirt in Vintage Floral Print ($72.99) Autumn  definatly is a time where you can wear vintage themed patterns and colors, this beautiful midi skirt can keep you warmish when worn with tights and cool when you are not wearing tights, very vercitile. I know I have it on my watch list on ASOS at the moment and cant wait until my pay goes through so i can buy it. I rearly ever wear pants, even at work, and I know that this skirt will even take me into winter. its made of thick cotton so I know that it will be great in any season. “Umbrella skirt by ASOS Collection. 2. Ted Baker Rosebud Jacket ($209.24) avaliable through ASOS and it is just the cutest little jacket that i have seen for a while. Because it is cropped, it gives a not too full on wintery look but the best thing is that it can be dressed up and down. the bold floral print is eye catching and just beautiful and it is coming back to the new/old trend that has been re-emerging, 1960’s!  “Rose print jacket by Ted Baker. 3. ASOS SALON SCOUT Patent T-Bar Mid Heels ($72.99) avaliable from ASOS, these shoes just bring back so many memories. one of when i was little, my twin sister and I both had this wild obsession with Jellies, a type of shoe that was completly made from clear gel like rubber, I had clear glitter ones and Britt had pink metalic ones. it was a sad, sad day when they stopped making them. the other memory is of my high school days, these shoes look a lot like the T-bars that we were all forced to wear, they were the ‘cool’ school shoes in Geelong but take them up to Melbourne and people were all like ‘Eww!” it was the same with out school kilts for a while to, until the short kilt became popular in G-town as well. The brigh bold pink of these shoes are sure to stand out but I know what you might be thinking Sandel like shoes in Autumn? is she mad? No I am not, these can be worn with cute little sock, may I suggest frilly ankel socks anyone? “Patent t-bar shoes by ASOS SALON . 4. “What I Wore Today” ($12.99) avaliable from ModCloth, I know I keep saying it, but I love creative things, I am after all a creative writer and fashion designer, so this little book ticks all my boxes. I can write about my clothing and draw it as well as plan new outfits. 5. Cath Kidston Manicure Set ($24.33)avaliable from ASOS,  With the ever changing weather in Melbourne this little beauty has come in handy heaps, the cold then warm weather has been playing with my nails constantly so its great to keep one of these little sets in your hand bag for quick touch ups and fixes. “Manicure set by Cath Kidston. Featuring a magnetic stud closure with an all over signature floral print including nail scissors, clippers, two nail files and a cuticle tool secured in place with elasticated straps.”

6.ASOS Contrast Ribbed Over The Knee ($6.49) avaliable from ASOS, these cute over the knee socks keep your legs warm and stylish, love the two toned effect as well. cheep and chic! “Contrast trim over the knee socks. In a fine cotton rich knit, with a ribbed finish, and a contrast coloured trim to the heel, toe and cuff.”

7.ASOS Colour Block Floppy Hat ($24.33) avaliable through ASOS, is a must have for Autumn, hats and millinery should not just be left for the races and a day at the beach, hats or a headband are a must for every day. take a leaf out of Blair Waldorfs book (from the first few seasons) and get out a hat or headband, wear one tomorrow, you never know you might surprise yourself and love it. this one is also bringing in the new trend of 1960’s! “Floppy hat, crafted in a pure wool fabric.
